1)What is LEAD PRAYANA?
LEAD Prayana, an initiative of LEaders Accelerating Development (LEAD) is an annual journey that takes 100 leaders between the age group of 18-25 on a two-week tour of Karnataka. The main aim behind Prayana is to promote leadership as a quality in an individual through the concept of experiential learning.
2) When does this take place?
LEAD PRAYANA is scheduled in the month of January. LEAD Prayana 2014 will start January 7th.
3) How many participants will be selected?
150 participants will be selected for PRAYANA.
4) What is the eligibility criteria?
LEADers as well as a non-LEADers between the ages of 18-25 are welcome to apply. The applicant should be enthusiastic and should have demonstrated leadership skills in the past.
5) Whom will I get to meet?
You will get to meet eminent people from diverse fields of interest. The Inspirom Series will introduce you to 6 role models who have struggled to make their dream a reality. The Panel Sessions will bring together leaders from the sectors of industry, education, art, literature and entertainment. LEAD Prayana will culminate with Yuva Summit, an international conference on leadership, entrepreneurship, and development.
6) Will food and accommodation be provided?
Our team will make sure to provide you with basic necessities and comfort as per the availability in the location. After all, leadership journey are never easy or luxurious!
7) How safe is the journey for me?
We have made safety arrangements during the course of travel and stay at locations as well. We also have an emergency team traveling with us to ensure the good health of our participants. In short, your security is our responsibility!
8) When do I report to Hubli?
You are required to report at the LEAD, Deshpande Foundation, one day in advance. If selected, please report to Hubli on January 6th, 2014. We will have the introduction session start right after lunch followed by a surprising evening! Please book your tickets accordingly.
9) When will PRAYANA end?
The end of the program is Jan 21st, 2014. We advise you to book your tickets well in advance.
10) Do we have to submit a consent letter from the college/parents?
As such, we do not need a letter from the college. If your college is sponsoring you, please inform us.
