The students of India have big ideas for a better India. LEaders Accelerating Development (LEAD) helps students realize their dreams of changing India. LEAD empowers youth to make change by funding innovative projects for lasting community impact. Students work on health, environmental, agriculture, livelihoods, natural resources education, and technology (HEAL NET) projects.

The LEAD movement started in the Hubli-Dharwad area in 2008. Currently, there are over 4,000 LEADers. LEAD’s vision is to expand throughout India and create a national youth movement to address India’s most pressing issues.

LEAD is a student centered organization, and our highly motivated team works to enable students to think creatively and achieve their goals. They network with colleges and students, and create leadership pipelines for LEADers who show interest in taking action on their ideas. We brainstorm with students and give them the tools they need to develop their leadership, communication and networking skills.

Over 17000+ college students have become the part of LEAD. Currently LEAD networks with 70+ colleges in 11 districts of Karnataka, 6 colleges of Nizamabad, Andhrapradesh (Kakatiya Sandbox).
